This Privacy Policy describes how the Chrome extension TextViz ("the Extension") handles user information.
The Extension stores the following information exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Gemini API Key: The API key you enter manually
- Analysis History: Text and results from your analysis requests (only when history saving is enabled)
- Settings: Your preferences such as output language, model selection, and image style
- API Usage Data: Call count and token counts for cost estimation purposes (stored locally only)
The Extension does not operate any external server and does not transmit the above information to the developer or any third party.
Collected information is used solely for the following purposes:
- API Key: Authentication for Google Gemini API calls
- History: Allowing you to review previous analysis results
- Settings: Preserving your preferred configuration
- Usage Data: Providing an in-extension API cost estimation feature
When you run an analysis, the selected text or image is sent to the Google Gemini API solely to generate results. Google's own privacy policy applies to this transmission.

The Extension does not send any data to third-party servers other than Google.
All data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage.
- You can delete history and usage records at any time from the Extension's settings page.
- Uninstalling the Extension permanently removes all stored data from your device.
- The developer has no ability to access or collect your data.
The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the Extension's update release notes.
