TextMood respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
What TextMood Does:
TextMood is a text rephrasing and translation app that rewrites your text in different tones such as Professional, Friendly, Savage, Gen Z, Formal, Flirty, Mystery, and Reverse Roast. The app sends your input text to an AI service to generate the rephrased result.
Information Collection and Use:
TextMood does not collect personal information such as your real name, email address, phone number, or location. No account or sign-up is required to use the app.
Text Processing:
When you enter text and request a rephrase or translation, that text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API (claude-haiku-4-5) to generate a result. This processing happens on Anthropic's servers. Text submitted for rephrasing is routed through our secure backend server (hosted on Render, render.com) before being sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This server acts only as a secure relay and does not store your text. TextMood does not store, log, or retain any text you enter. Please do not enter sensitive personal information such as passwords, ID numbers, financial details, or confidential data into the app.
Anthropic's Privacy Practices:
Text sent to the Claude API is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy.
Local Data Storage:
Your rephrase history is stored locally on your device only, using your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Advertisements:
This app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. The app displays a "Contains Ads" label as required by Google Play.
Children's Privacy:
TextMood is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
