The core functionality of Text Miner OCR—including Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and text extraction—is performed entirely on your device.
No Image Uploads: Images, documents, or photos you scan are processed locally using on-device machine learning libraries.
Privacy by Design: Your source files and the resulting extracted text are never sent to our servers, nor are they stored by us.
Permissions: The App requires access to your camera and storage only to facilitate the scanning and saving of documents locally on your device.
While we do not see your scanned content, we collect limited information to provide and improve our services:
Subscription Information: When you purchase a monthly subscription, transaction processing is handled securely by the Google Play Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your credit card details or full financial profile.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous telemetry (such as crash reports or feature usage frequency) to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
To keep the App accessible, we display advertisements.
Third-Party Ad Providers: We use third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdMob) to serve ads. These providers may use unique identifiers (like the Android Advertising ID) to show relevant ads.
User Control: You can manage or reset your advertising preferences through your device’s Android settings.
Ad-Free Experience: Users who opt for the monthly subscription will have all advertisements removed for the duration of their active billing cycle.
Text Miner OCR allows you to export your processed text into various formats (e.g., PDF, TXT, DOCX).
External Storage: When you export a file, it is saved to your device's local storage or sent to a destination of your choice (such as your personal email or cloud storage) via the Android system share sheet.
No Interception: Once a file is exported, the data is subject to the privacy policy of the destination app or service you selected.
Monthly Cycles: Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis through your Google Play account.
Cancellations: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via the "Subscriptions" section of the Google Play Store.
Since your data stays on your device, the security of your scanned documents depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using standard Android security features like screen locks and biometrics to protect the information stored on your phone.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
