TESDA sa RADYO – The Resumption of the Regular Radio Program of TESDA CNPO
TESDA sa RADYO, a local TESDA’s regular Radio Program with new timeslot during 2nd and 4th Monday of the Month was provided for free by the Provincial Government thru its Provincial Governor Hon. Edgardo A. Tallado. The said program has been on air even before the onset of the Pandemic COVID-19; however, it was halted due to said phenomenon.
On March 28, 2022, DWCN FM 96.9 MHz Radio Station Manager Ms. Agnes A. Ella welcomed TESDA Provincial Office – Camarines Norte to have the agency’s programs and services be aired once again for the benefits of Camnortenos. Senior TESD Specialist Mr. Tobias M. Obrero, Jr. who serves as the anchor of radio program – TESDA sa RADYO expressed his sincere thanks via FB live to the management and staff of the station by opening such opportunity that will gain more benefits and privileges among its listeners more particularly that information that has relevance to all TESDA programs and services.
On April 11, 2022, Provincial Director Engr. Eduardo B. Bonagua served as Guest in the second round of TESDA sa Radyo while Mr. Obrero sit as Radio Host who did the detailed interview. During the “Talakayan”, one of the topics discussed provided emphasis on the scholarship programs available for the province this CY 2022. PD Ed Bonagua informed the public of all the available scholarships that they can possibly avail from Public and Private Technical Vocational Institutions. The total budget allocation for the year is projected to almost Sixty-Eight Million Pesos (Php. 68M) affirming that many of Camnorteños will benefit, not only of the financial benefits the scholarship could provide, but also of the skills/competencies that it may give among scholars which has more significance in the pursuit of their future employment. Eventually, PD Ed said, the competencies that they had acquired through training can be a good opportunity for them to have employment abroad or even when they opt to start a business of their own using the skills brought by attending TESDA Training Program that also provides starter kits.
PD Ed also stressed during the interview that those benefits provided by the government among beneficiaries should be given utmost importance by reminding them that once they have availed of the opportunity for free skills training (scholarship) must finish or complete their training to avoid wastage of government funds. In addition, he further reminded those scholars who have completed their training and have with starter kits as part of the scholarship package should not be sold rather be used for productive entrepreneurial activities.
TESDA program pursuant to Section 30 of TESDA Law, Skills Competition was also discussed where PD Ed praised and gave due recognition to all the winners from regional and national skills competition. He encouraged all its partners and other stakeholders to join and participate in this kind of undertaking as it provides chances to all Filipino skilled workforce to showcase their competence and compete with other regions to shine from the rest and be recognized.
Projects and Programs relative to PRLEC Implementations among 2019 and 2020 Priority Barangays were also given time to inform the province and its member agencies especially the current status and all the plans intended for 2019 Barangays and programs to be delivered among new identified Twenty (20) Priority Barangays.
By closing the program, PD Ed expressed his sincere thanks to all the people who in one way or another contributed to the success of all the programs of TESDA more particularly the Provincial Government and all the Local Government Units, National Government agencies and even Private Companies like its parner Technical Vocational Institutions in the province.
