Le jardin d'hélys-oeuvre, labellisé jardin remarquable par le ministère de la culture, a été mon atelier pendant la résidence, un support et une surface. J'ai repéré les lieux intéressants à photographier. J´ai expérimenté ensuite sur place des mises en scène à travers de petites installations destinées à être photographiées. Mes photographies ne sont pas retouchées à l'ordinateur. Elles sont visibles de manière permanente grâce à des codes QR que le promeneur peut flasher avec sa tablette ou son téléphone.
Le jardin est une forme domestiquée de la nature. Je m'intéresse à la forme sauvage de celle-ci. La forêt est un lieu de mythe, de fantasmes, de peur et de supports de l' imaginaire. J'essaie de photographier ce que l'on n'y voit pas. La forêt est l'autre face du monde en résistance, sauvage et obscure entre utopie et dystopie.
Christelle Mas (1984) est une artiste visuelle française née en région parisienne (Melun). Elle a travaillé à Paris et à Helsinki et vit actuellement à Oulu en Finlande en Ostrobotnie du nord. Elle a exposé son travail en Belgique, en France, en Finlande et en Allemagne. Ses oeuvres se trouvent dans des collections privées et dans les collections publiques du musée d'art d'Oulu et de Kemi en Finlande.

Le jardin d'Hélys has been my workshop during this residence, a support and a surface. I noted interesting places to photograph. Then I experimented in situ the staging using small installations created especially to be photographed. My photographs are not retouched on the computer. They are permanently visible with QR codes that the walker can flash with his tablet or his Iphone.
The garden is a domesticated form of nature. I'm interested in the wild forms of nature. The forest is a place of legends and fantasmes, of fear and imaginary things. I try to photograph what we don't see. The forest is the other face of the world, resistant, wild and obscure, between utopia and dystopia. »
Christelle Mas (1984) is a french visual artist born near Paris (Melun). She has worked in Paris et à Helsinki and now lives in Oulu in Finland in north Ostrobotnia. She has exhibited her work in Belgium, France, Finland and Germany. Her works are in private collections and in the public collections of the Art Museums of Oulu and Kemi in Finland.
