App: VideoPlayer (com.terra.videoplayer)
Developer: Roman Nazarevych
Effective date: 11 July 2026
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Summary
VideoPlayer is a local video player for frame-accurate scrubbing of videos already stored on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app works fully offline, has no user accounts, and contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking.
Information we collect
None. VideoPlayer does not collect or process personal or sensitive data, and it sends no data off your device. The app has no internet permission and makes no network connections.
How the app uses your videos
When you tap Open a video, Android's system file picker lets you choose a video. VideoPlayer receives read-only access only to the specific file you select and never scans your broader media library. Selected videos are decoded and displayed entirely on your device for playback and frame-accurate scrubbing; their contents are never uploaded or shared.
Data stored on your device
To make scrubbing fast, the app stores thumbnail/filmstrip and frame-index caches, a reference and read permission for files you open, and a small preference that records whether you have seen the first-run tutorial. This data stays in private app-internal storage and never leaves your device. You can remove it by clearing the app's cache or storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Permissions and third parties
VideoPlayer requests no Android runtime or manifest permissions. It does not use storage, camera, microphone, location, contacts, or network permissions. File access is granted per-file by you through Android's system file picker. The app includes no third-party services, SDKs, analytics, crash reporting, or advertising.
Device backup
If device backup is enabled in your Android or Google settings, app preferences and cached data may be included in that backup. It is handled by Android or Google under their own terms; the app itself transmits nothing.
Children's privacy and data security
VideoPlayer is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. Because the app collects no data and transmits nothing over the network, there is no personal data in transit. On-device caches use Android's private app storage sandbox.
Your choices and control
Delete cached data: Android Settings > Apps > VideoPlayer > Storage > Clear cache or Clear storage.
Revoke file access: the app only holds access to files you opened; uninstalling the app removes all app data and access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes. The Last updated date above will reflect any revision. Material changes will be posted at this policy's URL.
