Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

PDFmora - Merge & Convert

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. By downloading, installing, or using PDFmora - Merge & Convert (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App and delete it from your device.

1. Parties

This Agreement is between you and the independent developer of PDFmora - Merge & Convert ("we", "us", "our"), the publisher of the App. It is not an agreement with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not a party to this Agreement and is not responsible for the App or its content.

2. License grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the App Store Usage Rules.

You may not:

● Copy, distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, or resell the App

● Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it

● Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the App

● Use the App to provide a paid document-processing service to third parties on a service-bureau basis

3. Price

The App is provided free of charge and contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. We do not process payments and hold no payment information.

If we introduce paid features in the future, Apple's payment terms will apply, these Terms will be updated before those features launch, and the App Store listing will state the price clearly. Nothing in this Agreement obliges you to make any purchase.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and only on documents you have the right to handle. You agree not to use the App to:

● Process, alter, or distribute content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights

● Remove password protection from a document you are not authorized to access. The password-removal feature exists to help you unlock a file you own, or one whose owner has given you the password. It is not a tool for circumventing access controls on other people's documents

● Create or distribute forged, falsified, or misleading documents, including by adding watermarks, seals, or markings intended to impersonate another person or organization

● Violate any applicable law, regulation, or contractual obligation — including confidentiality obligations, court orders, and employer or client policies that prohibit sending a document to a third-party processing service

● Submit documents containing other people's sensitive personal information to the cloud-based features without a lawful basis to do so

● Interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the processing service used for conversion and OCR

● Use automated means to submit requests in volumes beyond reasonable personal use

We may suspend or restrict your access to the cloud-based features if we reasonably believe you are violating this section.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents you process with the App. We claim no ownership over them, and we do not retain copies of them.

You are solely responsible for:

● The content of your documents and the legality of processing them

● Having all rights, licenses, consents, and lawful bases needed to process them, including any consent required to transmit a document containing another person's personal information to a third-party service outside the United States

● Deciding whether a given document may be sent to the cloud-based processing service at all (see Section 6)

● Reviewing any output before you rely on it or share it

6. Cloud-based features (conversion and OCR)

6.1 How they work

Conversion and OCR are performed by a third-party artificial-intelligence service, DeepSeek, provided by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. Your selected file is transmitted over an encrypted connection to that service, which returns the result to your device. The on-device features do not transmit anything.

6.2 Location and third-party terms

The processing service stores data on servers located in the People's Republic of China, and its handling of your file is governed by its own privacy policy and terms, not by this Agreement. By using the cloud features, you instruct us to transmit your file to that service and you accept that transfer. If you are not willing to have a document processed in that jurisdiction, do not use these features on it.

6.3 Retention

We do not store your documents, do not receive a copy, and keep no file history. We do not control, and cannot guarantee, deletion of your file by the processing service. Its own retention practices apply. If guaranteed deletion or a specific jurisdiction for processing is a requirement for you, do not use the cloud features.

6.4 What you must not send

Do not use the cloud features on documents that are confidential under an agreement or court order, that contain sensitive personal information about other people, that contain trade secrets or unpublished research, or that applicable law prohibits transferring outside the United States. Use the on-device tools instead; encryption, merging, splitting, watermarking, page organizing, and compression all run locally.

6.5 Accuracy and availability

These features require an internet connection and depend on a third-party service, so they may be unavailable, delayed, or rate-limited. Results are produced by automated processing and may contain errors, particularly with low-quality scans, handwriting, unusual fonts, complex layouts, or mathematical notation. Review the output before relying on it, especially for legal, financial, medical, or safety-related purposes. We do not guarantee that any particular file, format, font, or layout will convert without loss of fidelity.

7. Intellectual property

The App — including its name, logo, interface design, code, and related materials — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the App; they do not transfer ownership of anything.

"PDF" is a trademark of Adobe Inc. "Apple", "iPhone", "iPad", and "App Store" are trademarks of Apple Inc. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Adobe Inc., Apple Inc., or DeepSeek.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ANY THIRD-PARTY PROCESSING SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or right that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) TEN U.S. DOLLARS (US$10).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer of PDFmora - Merge & Convert from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App in violation of these Terms, your infringement of any third party's rights, or your transmission of a document through the cloud features in circumstances where you were not permitted to do so.

11. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under them terminate automatically if you breach any provision. You may terminate at any time by deleting the App from your device.

Upon termination, you must stop using the App. Sections concerning intellectual property, disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.

12. Apple's required terms

You and we acknowledge and agree that:

1. This Agreement is concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.

2. Maintenance and support: Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.

3. Warranty: In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.

4. Product claims: We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

5. Intellectual property claims: We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.

6. Legal compliance: You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

7. Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts having jurisdiction over the developer's place of residence, or in small-claims court where you are eligible. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the jurisdiction in which you reside.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at duyulong84@gmail.com and give us 30 days to resolve the matter informally.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice in the App or in the App Store release notes before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete it.

15. General

● Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions stay in full effect.

● Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the App Store Usage Rules, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.

● Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

● Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

● Third-party beneficiaries: Except for Apple as set out in Section 12, these Terms create no rights for any third party.

Note on Apple's Standard EULA

You may instead point the App Store listing to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. That standard agreement does not address cloud processing of user documents by a third party, so this custom EULA is recommended for this App.
