Welcome to Polyglot AI Translator ("the App"), developed and operated by Polyglot AI ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App on an iOS device, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.
Polyglot AI Translator is a privacy-focused language translation application. The App provides text translation, voice-to-text input, and image text extraction (OCR) features utilizing both on-device Apple system frameworks and third-party cloud-based large language models (including OpenAI via Replicate API).
The App is designed with a privacy-first philosophy.
No Registration: You do not need to create an account, register an email, or provide any personal identification to use the App.
Local Storage: All your translation history, user preferences, and favorites are stored exclusively on your device using native iOS frameworks (such as SwiftData and UserDefaults). We do not host or maintain any server-side database of your usage history.
By using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years old (or 16 years old if you are a resident of the European Economic Area). The App is not directed to children under these age limits.
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited personal license to download, install, and use the App on iOS devices owned or controlled by you, strictly in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s App Store Terms of Service.
You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:
Use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App.
Interfere with or disrupt the cloud translation API services connected to the App.
Automate requests or scrape data from the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable personal use, causes abnormal API traffic, or stresses our third-party infrastructure.
The App and all translation services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Translations within the App are powered by advanced third-party Large Language Models (LLMs). While we strive to provide high-quality linguistic results, AI-generated translations are not infallible and may occasionally contain inaccuracies, contextual errors, or unnatural phrasing.
We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any translation result.
The App should not be solely relied upon for high-stakes professional, legal, medical, or safety-critical translation needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Polyglot AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from:
Your use of or inability to use the App.
Any translation errors, data inaccuracies, or mistranslations generated by the AI models.
Any data loss caused by system updates, device failure, or deletion/uninstallation of the App (as all your user history is stored strictly on-device).
We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the App, including all UI design, branding, code, artwork, and assets, protected by copyright and trade secret laws. "Polyglot AI" and its logos are trademarks owned by us.
You retain ownership of the text, voice inputs, or images you input into the App. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your translation requests. Your inputs are only processed transiently over HTTPS to deliver the translation results.
You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or the content thereof. Your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (including the Usage Rules set forth therein).
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. When we make updates, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms and your use of the App shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your local jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
