TepiCine ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the TepiCine Android app collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.

## 1. Information We Collect
TepiCine is designed to work without requiring you to create an account. We do not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone access, or camera access.
The app may process the following information:
### App usage and local preferences
The app stores some information locally on your device to improve your experience, including:
- Continue watching history
- Saved movies or series
- Thumbs up/down feedback
- Genre preferences used for personalized recommendations
- Notification rotation state, such as which reminder type was shown last
This information is stored on your device and is not uploaded by us to our own server.
### Movie and series data
TepiCine uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to show movie, series, cast, trailer, poster, genre, trending, season, and recommendation information. When the app requests this data, TMDB may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, device/network information, and request details.

### Advertising information
TepiCine uses AppLovin MAX and mediation partners to show ads, including banner, interstitial, native, MREC, and rewarded ads. Advertising providers may collect or receive information such as:
- Advertising ID
- IP address
- Device model and operating system
- App package name and app interaction events
- Approximate location inferred from IP address
- Ad views, clicks, impressions, and performance data
- Crash, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals
These providers may use this information to deliver ads, limit repeated ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

### Notifications
If you allow notifications, TepiCine may send local reminders such as continue watching reminders, episode or movie reminders, new season alerts, and trending-now suggestions.
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use Firebase Cloud Messaging, OneSignal, or a third-party push notification service for these local reminders.
On Android 13 and newer, the app asks for notification permission before showing notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
### Support emails
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this only to respond to your request and provide support.
## 2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide app features and navigation
- Show movie and series details
- Save your watch history and preferences locally
- Personalize home screen recommendations locally
- Send local reminders if notifications are enabled
- Show and measure ads
- Maintain app security, stability, and fraud prevention

We do not sell your personal information.

- With TMDB when the app requests movie and series metadata

## 4. Local Storage and Retention
Local app data, such as continue watching history, saved items, thumbs feedback, and recommendation preferences, remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
Support emails may be retained for as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain support records.
Advertising providers and TMDB may retain data according to their own privacy policies.
## 5. Your Choices and Controls
You can:
- Disable notifications in Android settings
- Reset or delete your Android Advertising ID in device settings where supported
- Limit ad personalization in your Android or Google account settings where available
- Clear local app data from Android settings
- Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data

## 6. Permissions Used
TepiCine may request or use the following Android permissions:
- Internet: used to load movie/series data, posters, trailers, streaming pages, ads, and related content
- Network state: used to check connectivity
- Post notifications: used to show local reminders, only where permission is granted
- Advertising ID: used by advertising providers for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention
The app does not request precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or call log permissions.
## 7. Children’s Privacy
TepiCine is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact info@blackbookapp.co.uk and we will take appropriate steps.
## 8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect app data. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure. You should use the app with that understanding.
## 9. International Data Transfers
Third-party providers such as advertising networks and content APIs may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable legal mechanisms.
