1. Junior Research Fellow at IIT Kharagpur from 2019-2021.
Short Bio
Abhirup is a highly motivated researcher with a strong academic background in engineering and a passion for unraveling the intricacies of fluid flow physics at the nanoscale. In 2017, Abhirup earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Department of Power Engineering at Jadavpur University, securing the prestigious University Medal for standing 1st in the Order of Merit in his department.
Driven by a keen interest in nanofluidics and interfacial interactions, Abhirup pursued a Master of Science by Research from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, graduating in 2022. During this period, his research focused on the modulation of nanofluidic transport, delving into the complexities of interfacial interactions at the nanoscale.
In recognition of Abhirup's research potential, he was awarded the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF) in January 2023 to pursue a Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The ongoing Ph.D. research aims to bridge the gap between molecular and continuum scales, offering valuable insights into fluid flow physics at the nanoscale.
Beyond academic pursuits, Abhirup is actively engaged in sports and holds a genuine enthusiasm for music.
