NEW BOOK! Ukulele Debut Rockschool
Grab your interactive book using the link in the emails, or on the same link is the physical book if you prefer. Or there is always Amazon.
There is a syllabus to go with this book which will develop our playing across melody and chords, rhythm and timing PLUS some music theory. Whilst we are reading TAB (playing by numbers) students do develop an idea of how music works and how to read rhythm. A strong start!

Below I will post any extra songs we work on for fun in the lessons. I often ask students to call out their fave songs and so far this term the main song has been BONES by IMAGINE DRAGONS

A strong end to the year! We performed as a full group and even got Mr Maclean bopping away as he took photos! Enjoy the summer break and I will see you when we return!!!

FRIDAY 28th JUNE we had so much fun!!! We played along to Can't Stop The Feeling 3x and then decided to find more songs!

TODAY we added in "stepping up and down"
WE know that TAB is written upside down and when we see a 0 on a line we know which string to play
This new song shows us how to play a fret when we need to change the note on a string!

FRIDAY 1st March
Today we were going to add a new song to our repertoire using the UKULELE METHOD BOOK. However we had a loose tooth incident so it distracted slightly!!! However we practiced the C Major and A minor chords plus a little bit of YOUR FIRST SONG
GAME: HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU CHANGE FROM Am to C in 1 minute!!!???
XTRA challenge: We have tried F Major, can you remember how to play it!? ALSO....try learning the G MAJOR chord

Today we performed our songs and had photos taken for the newsletter. Today is NATIONAL UKULELE DAY!!!
