I need an analog of TumblOne (for tumblr) VkOpt (able to save chating history in vk.com ) or jDownloader (for file hostings) - the program, which will parce all chating history from the start to the current state, find all web links, save them to a txt file, find all attached files (archives, ebooks, music, video, txt files, photos, etc) and download them to selected folder (direct download, not from TG cache, I need all files, even I don't save it manually, and all links, even I don't read or delete posts with them).
I tried to use some universal download managers (JDownloader, USDownloader, Tucan), but all of them don't support telegram. Maybe, there are some offline apps for this purpose or any crawlers for browser version of TG?

I found the answer suggesting to use of php cli telegram client script, but this work doesn't support by the author anymore. Is there are supporting, developed analogs? I didn't find them on alternativeto.net.
Note: There is a 1.5GB limit per file. If any of your files are bigger than that, download them individually. But there is no size limit as to how much data can be downloaded in total. You can download all the files from the chat.
But it still saves random images I never downloaded onto my device. I'm in groups that have tens of thousands of people, and they upload images. I don't want that stuff consistently on my phone. Tried googling and I'm tech-savvy enough, but couldn't find an answer.
My telegram app is auto-downloading all forms of media (stickers, images, videos, images from link previews, etc) into my gallery and I don't know why this suddenly happened. When I go to my gallery there's all the GIFs, stickers, link previews that I've received and sent. The 'Save to gallery' option is off, and it's not the auto-download feature also.
I already know how to remove them, and how to stop automatic downloads. But neither of those answers the question. ? Why does Telegram need to download images at all? When I disabled automatic downloads it lost the ability to display images unless I downloaded them individually. And I cant tell what I'm downloading.
I mean, discord , FB messenger, or FB itself dont download every image you want to view or scroll past ....do they? The undownloaded images in Telegram are blurred or have some kind of filter put over them, so you cant tell what they are in the app until the image is on your system. But it seems to me, I ought to be able to view them without downloading them at all, considering the filter. I would think differently if the images were just blank white featureless squares.
I'm selecting multiple posts in telegram web (A) and click on download.After that, it starts downloading the selected posts, but it will download the same posts multiple times.This tends to go as high as downloading the same post 40 times.
I did some more testing and it seems the more posts it downloads, the more duplicates it downloads. Like I download a post with 8 files, the first file will be downloaded one time, the second file downloaded two times, the third four times etc.

Yesterday I updated my system and Telegram got updated to version 2.8.4-153. Since the update, every time I try to download a file (I click on download, select the place to download the file and click on "Save") in the chat, Telegram gets frozen and unresponsive. The only way to stop the program is to kill it in the terminal.
You can find it with menulibre. After installing it you can find it on "Menu" as "Menu Editor".
Run the program and search for "telegram"
Down in the bottom it will tell you where is that desktop file.
On my Android phone, I removed my Telegram Android app from the Google Play store and replaced it with the downloaded Telegram Android app directly from the Telegram website, Telegram for Android. My Android phone made me turn on permission to install unknown apps in order to do that, and keep that permission enabled so I could receive the updates from Telegram.
Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I have the latest telegram desktop app (8.5.22) on my mac and or some reason its not giving me the option to download music (.wav) that were sent to me by my friend. I can download the files on the mobile app, just not telegram desktop.
I started to download the videos of the groups I participate in, the downloads work very well
But I started to see that the free disk space was disappearing fast, even after I deleted the videos from my computer
I realized that the telegram was saving these files as a cache, because a video with more than 1gb it took to download and after the download I deleted the video and then put it to download the same video, it took 3 seconds for it to download
I looked in the edge settings if there was something to clear only the cache of the telegram application
I didn't find an option to just clean the telegram
There was an option to clear the hosted application data, but it was including all applications, there was no way to choose just the telegram
Hello. I have a problem with Telegram. When I go to 'Settings' - 'Advanced' - 'Storage data' - 'Download path' - 'Custom folder, manual delete'.
When I try to select the folder where I want my downloads, the 'open' button doesn't work. The problem is that it won't let me change the download folder. I normally use SalientOS which is Arch, and I don't have that problem. I want to give Garuda a chance. But I have this problem. I give the button 'Open' and it does not work, it does not let me select any different folder, and I would like the Telegram downloads to be on a different hard drive than the OS. The same has happened to me with Arcolinux that the 'Open' button does not work, but in SalientOS it works correctly.
Could someone help me to fix this problem? I use garuda-dr460nized-linux-zen-210425.iso

tbg, Garuda is not for me then . I need Telegram for my daily work. I need to move a lot of files and I need to change the download folder and in Garuda (Arch) I can't. Instead in SalientOS (Arch) if I can. I think the problem is from GarudaOS clearly, Telegram I think it is the same in SalientOS as in GarudaOS ,all is Arch Linux, so the problem is in Garuda I think.

But as mentioned, you can only access them within the Telegram app. You will have to manually save these files to either the Gallery app or File Manager as shown below. Photos and videos can be saved to the Gallery and File Manager both whereas other files like PDFs can only be downloaded to the File Manager.
But, if the Save to Gallery/Save incoming photos setting is enabled, the photos and videos will be downloaded automatically to your phone. You will find received photos in the Gallery app (Android) and Photos app (iPhone). However, even with this setting enabled, you will still need to download other file types manually to your phone.
2. Tap on the three-dot icon next to the file and select Save to Gallery. You can view the downloaded photo or video in the Gallery app on your phone.
Go to Telegram Settings > Data and Storage. Look for the Automatic Media Download section. Here you will see options like While using mobile data and While using Wi-Fi. You will see which files will be downloaded automatically. You can customize these settings according to your preference.
I was using telegram and was looking at the comments under an announcement and apparently telegram has auto download files, images, etc enabled by default and someone posted a malicious file which auto downloaded and I didn't realize until a few hours later. The first scan only showed the two files which were auto downloaded from telegram and after restarting my computer, another detection was found which was hidden in my temp folder.
