Channel expansion

Tektronix also announced today new wholesale distributor relationships with Ingram Micro and Tech Data Corp., and an increased number of authorized reseller locations around the world. These new relationships build on relationships established with MicroAge, Inacom and Access Graphics, giving Tektronix increased reach across a broad reseller base.

The channel expansion will make it easier for small and medium-sized businesses to obtain Tektronix color laser printers and enhance the penetration of the Tektronix brand in the growing business color printing market. Tektronix's sales channels have grown more than 30 percent in the last 12 months under the expansion initiative, with an additional 25 percent growth expected by the end of 1997.

Dual technology approach captures the enterprise market

Tektronix is the only company to offer two color laser technology options for the business market: the affordable Phaser 350 solid-ink color laser printer and the high-performance Phaser 560 color laser printer.
