Social Media Science
The widespread use of social media among teenagers raises many concerns.
We believe that teens should be given a voice in the discussions surrounding social media and their well-being.
To that end, we are collaborating with secondary schools in the Cardiff area to organize co-production events with teenagers so they can tell us about their social media experiences. In turn, their feedback helps inform social media research.

Based in the School of Psychology at Cardiff University, our research focuses on adolescents' cognition and well-being in the digital age. We conduct experimental studies combining behavioural and brain imaging measures to understand how digital social interactions might impact behaviours and brain functioning in teenagers.
