The objective of the Assistant Minister for Technical Services is to support the overall functioning and strategic directions of the Ministry and / or the Department as it relates to the Technical Services Department.

• Assisting in the oversight of technical operations, work plans, and services within the Ministry

• Collaborating with other Departments to ensure efficient Technical support

• Developing and implementing policies related to Technical Matters

• Planning, drafting, and implementation of Technical projects at the Ministry

• In the absence of the Deputy Minister, representing the Ministry in Technical Forums and Meetings

• Providing expert advice to the Deputy Minister, Division Heads, and other Senior leadership

• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

• Responsible for Coordinating all activities of the department

• Ensuring access to agricultural services by farmers and users

• Promotes staff development and welfare for effective service delivery

• Coordinates the recruitment, postings, promotions, training and discipline of staff
