About me (Gaurav Gupta)

I am a graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore campus, class of 2023. My journey in engineering laid a strong foundation in electronics, signal processing, and system design. But more than that, it ignited in me a passion for understanding how technology can be leveraged to solve real-world problems.

Soon after graduating, I began my professional career as a Backend Application Developer at IBM. It was here that my technical journey took a sharp upward curve. At IBM, I had the privilege of contributing to critical and high-impact modules, working hands-on with cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and libraries in backend development. The role was both challenging and rewarding—it pushed me to grow beyond the comfort zone of theoretical knowledge and dive deep into real-world enterprise-level applications. The work I did was well-received by colleagues and clients alike, which gave me the motivation and confidence to keep exploring the ever-evolving world of tech.

One of the turning points in my journey was meeting my mentor, Mr. Ehson Golandaz. His guidance and his exceptional blogs (which I highly recommend—check them out here: technology-simplified) became a source of inspiration for me. He not only influenced the way I approach problems but also inspired me to start documenting my own learning and share it with other technophiles and curious minds around the world. His impact helped me realize the importance of community knowledge-sharing and the value of learning in public.

Beyond backend development, I have a deep and growing interest in the fascinating fields of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. I’m currently devoting a significant portion of my time to exploring the realms of autonomous systems, intelligent agents, and machine learning. My approach to learning is hands-on—I don't just watch tutorials or skim through documentation. Instead, I believe in building things, testing ideas, and applying theoretical concepts to practical, problem-solving projects that can simplify everyday tasks or optimize existing workflows.

Through this blog, I hope to share not only my learnings and experiences but also spark curiosity and dialogue among fellow tech enthusiasts. Whether it's backend engineering, AI, robotics, or just tinkering with new tools—this space is my contribution to the incredible world of technology we are lucky to be a part of.

Through this portal I will try to communicate my learnings to my readers. This website will not be limited to any particular track or domain. I will try to keep it multidisciplinary so that the readers can look up to the topics to get a quick insight into the topics they are interested in, develop a base for themselves and then build upon it by doing their own research.
