hi, i think i'm going crazy. i need to remote control my android device (i'm trying with s8, huawei p8 and samsung j3) and on all of this devices i got the SAME PROBLEM! i start teamviewer host (i cannot put hands on device cuz i'm really far) and for some minutes the connection is ok, after some time the connection runs out. But the problem is that I cannot connect to the phone when is locked, i tried everything reading past topics but nothing, i tried to optimize the background settings and battery settings, but after some time the phone go offline and i cannot connect anymore from teamviewer on the pc. i think that is a problem of background app management. i need to be able to start teamviewer host and connect after 2 hours, but this app is fully bugged. i found topics of some years ago, possible that a software that cost thousands of dollars is bugged on its main function? and after many yrs there are not solutions?

I'm having the same problem for a long time with several devices. Every time I face this problem is when I control my parents devices and they watch the screen. The devices are never locked and TM host app is always alive. I guess there are some other causes.

I have been trying to access my daughter's phone, but most times time just keeps spinning until it times out.. it works for a few days and then it will be down for lime 4days. The device isn't locked and the host app is live. So can you please fix this ongoing problem

It is now 2023 and reading the comments it seems this problem has been going on since 2017. Why hasn't it been fixed. I bought a Moto G Play 2023 and it didn't work. From reading the older articles about mobile offline it suggested that Samsung mobile works better. I am having the same issue with the Samsung. How can teamviewer enticed users to buy their paid subscription if the free does not work. I am glad I tried it first before buying. [removed per Community Guidelines]

I've had teamviewer free for about ten years. Non-commercial use for managing a game server (in my house) and also for helping my mom, aunt, etc manage their laptops if they get stuck on something.

Now teamviewer is timing out and disconnecting after 60 seconds and then it won't reconnect for about 24 hours. It says due to the type of license I have that my connection is blocked until a certain time, usually one minute later, but if I wait until one minute later, it says it still can't connect and I need to wait an additional minute. So effectively I'm blocked from reconnnecting at all.

Unfortunately, yesterday I tried to connect with a second computer and do some things there, but TeamViewer close my connection after 1 minute of streaming. I repeated this a few times, but the result was always the same.

I just installed the Teamviewer Host app on my Pixel 4 running Android 11. Each time I connect to my phone from my PC, the phone pops up with attached warning, and I have to tap 'Start Now' before I can control the phone. I have to tap 'Start Now' physically on my phone, which means I can only remote control my phone if I have it with me in my hand. I want to be able to leave it out in the other room, which I believe is the point of the Host app?

Does anyone know how I can accomplish true unnattended access with the Host app? I'm assuming there is some way to disable this warning, or 'auto-allow' it? Thanks in advance!!!!

[Original post (not answered) from 9:35 a.m. 24Jul22] In the solution provided above what is ADB, and Shizuku, and App Ops (you are talking over my head of sorts with shorthand)? Please give step-by-step instructions for how to get these apps (i.e., ADB, Shizuku and App Ops) on to my android phone (I am trying to control one phone from another phone without the Host being required to provide physical permission EACH time).

I have teamviewer installed on a remote computer, protected by a long complicated password. I'd like someone to join a session so that they can see what I'm doing on the remote, but I don't want to give the the password. One reason I don't want to give the permanent password is that they usually have problems correctly entering long passwords.

Similar to TeamViewer, AnyViewer is a free remote desktop program for Windows that enables safe, worldwide access to your devices. What's the distinction? There is no time restriction with AnyViewer. You may use it any way you choose, whether for personal or business use. You can access a business computer from home or provide remote help to customers. You won't be expelled ever again in the middle of a connection.

Does TeamViewer have a free version? How long can you use TeamViewer for free? What are the TeamViewer free version limitations? This post primarily has given answers to these questions. TeamViewer is free for personal use without a time limit. But if you are detected as using it for commercial use, your connection will immediately be blocked. Therefore, we highly recommend you use the free TeamViewer alternative AnyViewer. It has no restrictions on the users' purposes. Download and try it right now.

I'll be curious to see what you end up selecting. We too have TeamViewer perpetual, we're licensed for version 12. I think they started their subscription pricing right after we bought with them. We switched to them from GoToAssist and ended up paying a onetime cost for all the TV licenses we got that was the same as what we were paying quarterly for GoToAssist! The performance of TV was much better; less lag and customizable installers.

We've been happy with it so far and we've made sure to set policies to keep the agents from updating themselves beyond the version we're licensed for. We have multiple users that use it many times daily so the subscription costs may be manageable for us, but we just never considered it because we could do what we needed to with what we had.

I hadn't seen anything about them deprecating our version, but I could see that happening as they try to get all their customers onto subscriptions. I'll have to keep an eye out. I generally just ignore their emails about getting us to upgrade to a subscription; but they are persistent (sometimes multiple emails in a single day).

computerdave they started their "deprecation" nonsense on this very day. I too keep all my clients fixed at v13 (it was only from v14 that they dumped perpetuals) but as I said before - the problem I face in my environment is where I have clients who need third-party support and where those third-parties use v14. SO for example I have a client who is currently implementing an SAP Small Business on HANA solution. When the SAP team needs to access the server I connect start the recorder and give them access via the one-time-password. This gives me control and audit. From today that is no longer possible because the SAP integrator has bought into v14 and they are now kicked out every 5 minutes with the message I quoted in my comments over on the other thread. This started today with multiple customers of mine which is how I know its happening.

dimforest I am not seeking a free solution - I paid a lot of money for my Teamviewer Corporate License and am willing to pay a decent price for a good solution. I have a Zoho subscription only because it is one of two solutions that work in a highly restrictive country that blocks the likes of Teamviewer completely - including VPN's - so I am familiar with it. I would put Zoho at the very bottom of the stack - its interface and download-an-executable every time you want to access a computer is horrible. It is also not good with slow-wan links. I also use AnyDesk as a backup for critical systems, when Teamviewer goes down, which is certainly better than Zoho.

A nice tool you could try is Wayk Now. Wayk Now has most of your feature requests. It's a lightweight remote desktop access solution that reduces implementation time while maintaining the latest industry security standards. You can request a free trial here Opens a new window to see if it really fits your needs. There's also Wayk Den Opens a new window on premise that you could try. Our support team Opens a new window is here if you have any other questions.

Even that wouldn't be too bad if you knew up front that that was the price and it ALWAYS would be. The big problem with subscription services is that the provider can increase the price basically anytime they want and you're sort of stuck with it.

Without spending the time to work through the list all I can say for us we ended up going with Splashtop. We were still using Teamviewer 8 so it's not a fair comparison I am sure BUT I am not a fan of the subscription model and we avoided upgrading Teamviewer specifically because it would force into their expensive model. Splashtop gave us the same functionality as Teamviewer (at least all of the features that we use) for 1/3 the price. 17dc91bb1f
