Electrical

The Electrical Team is in charge of getting the robot to function. First they find out what the team wants in the robot.

When the final decision has been made, they start to figure out where to put the wires. Electrical works very closely with programming and mechanical. They are always in communication with both.

Once the Robot is mostly built, they start to connect the wires. Both electrical and programming then make sure that everything is running smoothly. At competitions, they are connecting wires to new parts of the robot that are added.

The Electrical Engineering career field is a new branch of engineering. They can work with anywhere from tiny microchips to huge power station generators. Some career paths for Electrical Engineers are: Civil Service for the government, Telecommunication, Engineering, Computing, Construction, Energy, Manufacturing, Transport and Utilities companies and the Armed Forces. As technology advances, more people are needed to fill the growing demand for those jobs.
