The programming team works on a page for the website for showcasing samples of our programs and what we're using this year to help us code.
The specialty parts team focuses on continuing our work on replicating the bumper for the robot design team.
The robot design team works on the intake system of the robot formulating ideas that connects to the intake system.
The programming team is able to go through our programs and format them so they are easier to read.
The programming team also posts parts of our TeleOP and Autonomous code with explanations on what the programs do and what tools we use to make the programs.
The specialty parts team watches videos that would help us finish up extruding the parts needed for the robot design team. We expect to be done on Friday.
The robot design team is almost finished with the intake mechanism. We are working on a funnel idea. The funnel guides the ring into the intake mechanism.
The robot design team has a few different goals today:
One of them is to finish up the intake system.
Another goal of today is to come up with ideas that would help guide rings into the intake mechanism.
One of the specialty parts team's tasks for today's meeting is to finish replicating the bumper as a part for the robot.
The other task we had is to extrude the gecko wheels and other various odometry parts needed also for the robot.
Robot Design:
We are almost finished with the intake mechanism. We are just working on a funnel idea. The funnel would almost guide the ring into the intake mechanism.
We are having technical difficulties, as OnShape is really slow today and it didn’t cooperate as we would have liked it to. We also have quite a few different zoom issues that we fixed.
We plan on getting the shooting mechanism done soon, and also on finishing the intake mechanism
Specialty Parts:
Due to the limited knowledge we have on this subject, we are unable to finish extruding the parts. We only know how to extrude parts that are flat and not curved like certain parts in the bumper and the gecko wheel.
To try to fix this problem of ours, we watch videos on how to extrude curved parts.
For the next meeting we will continue on the research for properly extruding these parts and continuing on doing so. We will try to see if we can finish the wheels or bumper by Friday for the robot design team.
This is a screenshot from one of the videos that we watched together as a team. This certain video went over extruding parts, but did not completely help us with the task that we needed to complete.
This is a diagram on the funnel mechanism we are trying to attach to the chassis. This isn't final- just what we came up with as we brainstormed.
The goal for today is to showcase our code on the website.
To do that, we had to organize the code, take pictures of it, and add them to our website.
We go through the programs we are going to post and format the code neatly and make any necessary comments.
We showcase the code on the website by adding pictures of the code after some discussion on how we want to showcase our programs.
We would like to make new programs to incorporate for the other scenarios that would be required for this year’s game.
We could also improve the existing programs in the future by adding other elements such as code for sensors into it.
This is part of the page we did today for our website. The “Ultimate Goal Program” on the top is the title of our page. The purpose of this page is to show off and explain some of the code we’re using for this year. The text on the bottom is our quick introduction and thank you’s.
This is another part of the page for our website. It has a picture of a section of code from our program “Start1MatA.” To the right, we have our explanation. Because this is an Autonomous Program, we made sure to label it on top to further differentiate from the TeleOp Code. The rest of the text is explaining what the program is set to do, one task at a time, and explains what we used for this code specifically.
