Today, the main goal is to copy one side of the chassis and attach it to the other side to complete the entire design.
Make improvements to the center channels by fixing the brackets, and attaching screws.
Today, the main goal for the programming team is to help Ahmed prepare for the presentation he is going to give on Floobits at a FTC session about advanced programming.
The purpose of this session is to give feedback to Ahmed so that he can improve his presentation.
We fix all the axles. The middle channels are installed, and most of their brackets are screwed in. However, some of the brackets still need work. One half of the chassis is copied over to the other side, nearly completing the chassis.
The last step that needs to be completed is the fixing of the brackets for the middle channels. Screws also need to be inserted to connect the middle channels to the rest of the chassis. Eventually, the gears connected to the wheels, and the motors may need to be fixed.
Our team faces several technical issues today:
The OnShape platform is lagging excessively, making it very hard to fasten or even move pieces around. We are unable to finish the last step in our design- refastening a couple brackets to the inner channels- due to the state of the platform. Everyone’s screen is freezing making it impossible to complete the final step.
Our feedback giving session goes very well, Ahmed receives valuable advice on how to improve his presentation so that others easily understand the functions of Floobits.
Ahmed is able to implement several improvements in the techniques through which he gives the presentation.
The presentation itself also ends up being modified because the programming team concludes after listening to Ahmed’s presentation that some parts are not necessary, while other parts should be focused on.
Over the course of the meeting, the focus goes from explaining about Floobits more and actually displaying it less, to giving a brief overview of Floobits, showcasing its abilities using a significant amount of time.
This decision is made because the presentation seemed more interesting to listen to when it was done in that specific manner.
Today, the main goal is to copy one side of the chassis and attach it to the other side to complete the complete the entire design.
This includes making improvements to the center channels by fixing the brackets, and attaching screws.
All the axles that were misplaced previously are fixed by Benjamin during today's meeting. The middle channels also are fixed and installed.
While attaching the brackets, Vanisha recognizes a huge mistake that the team is making by fastening the brackets incorrectly. The holes of the brackets needs to face away from the channels.
This mistake is later fixed by Astrid and Yuga where they work on reorienting the direction of the brackets and fastening them in the right place.
Later, most of the brackets are screwed in. However, some of the brackets still need work. One half of the chassis is copied over to the other side, nearly completing the chassis.
The last step that needs to be completed is the fixing of the brackets for the middle channels. Screws also need to be inserted to connect the middle channels to the rest of the chassis. Eventually the gears connected to the wheels and motors may need to be fixed.
There are a lot of technical issues today: the OnShape platform is lagging excessively, making it very difficult to fasten or even move pieces around.
As you can see there are still some screws missing on our channels to connect the brackets to them. This is something we plan to address next meeting since today OnShape didn’t allow us to work like we would normally do so.
This is one of the brackets that we intend to fix next meeting, it is in the wrong orientation. In order to fix the orientation, we will unfasten, reorient, and refasten.
The main goal for today is to go over Ahmed's presentation on Floobits a few more times and give him feedback on it.
Our goal is to stop him at whichever point we saw fit in order to offer suggestions on how to improve that distinct section.
We are able to provide good feedback to Ahmed during his presentations.
Hooryah and Ria especially stop him at any moment they thought something could be improved, providing a suggestion on improving that specific section.
During the session, we realize how important it is for Ahmed to do well because he will be representing our team during the FTC session.
We work together to make the presentation the best it could be.
We receive valuable knowledge concerning how to improve our own presentations in class in order to engage the audience better.
Robotics helps us to understand the topic at hand itself better, as well as allowing us to improve our efforts in other classes.
We learn how to work as a team to help each other, which is a really nice experience.
This is our team's documentation on Floobits - a very important plug-in used to collaborate together on Android Studio. Ahmed shows this documentation to people on the FTC session to help them understand how to install Floobits and deal with some of its common problems.
This is a part of the slide presentation that Ahmed will be going over during the FTC meeting. This particular slide talks about the best practices that people should follow while using Floobits. This is very important because teams using Floobits would need to understand these fully to get the most out of the plugin.
