CONTEXT

The task will be to carry out a project prior to the construction of an ecological house. You must make the constructive design of an ecological house, following the parameters explained in class and the attached resources. The points you should follow:

We have chosen to build our ecological house in Santander. The climate in Santander is warm and temperate. The rainfall is significant, with precipitation even during the driest month.

We are using rainwater for watering the plants and showering and washing the clothes. We have a filter to clean the water for the domestic use. We also have a water tube made out of recycled glass, for reusing the water for watering the plants.

We decided that our walls will be made out of Adobe, a mud brick, with sever weathering bricks for foundation and garden walls and no weathering bricks for interior work. Also, we are using oak for the ceiling support. For the roof beams, we are using beams and joists of wood. We have an actively way to reduce energy for the house, with solar pannels and a wind turbine.

Our house is divided in two buildings. The big one's floor is made out of stone bricks. The ceiling is made out of clay. The small buiding's floor is made out of stone bricks, too.

Even tough we have an ecological house, we want it to be contemporary and appealing for the viewers.
