Augmented Reality and Literacy
AR Books & Literacy
JUNE 13, 2020
In this workshop, you will learn about augmented reality and literature resources. We have several goals during the workshop, first we will review the details about virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed realities. Then, we will actively evaluate teaching resources that are freely available on the internet. Next, we will share ready made VR lesson plans and resources that allow for easy implementation in any grade level and content area. We'll transition to augmented reality and showcase fiction and non-fiction books that teachers can use in their classrooms to engage learners, awaken student's curiosities, and teach content. Reading skills and instruction will be at the forefront of the workshop. We will address issues of equity in education and focus on literary skills to support equity.
