Teacher Caravan


The goal of this event is to bring together two thousand teachers from more than 100 countries to share and learn about innovative and inspiring approaches to teaching English from 14 teachers from 14 countries.

Armen Kassabian

Armen Kassabian the Teacher Program Coordinator for the Academic programs Department, part fo the International English Language Teachers Association Faculty.

Kassabian created the Teacher Caravan in collaboration with IELTA team to give teachers the space and voice to share their wisdom and inspiration with the world.

Kassabian is a facilitator, educator, podcaster, Youtuber and teacher-trainer, who has been teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages for the past 12 years.

Primarily based in New York, Kassabian has also taught in Brazil, Martinique, and Mauritius with the Fulbright program and the Regional English Language Office.

He is presently working for Voice of America Learning English as an educational multimedia journalist. His specializations include project-based learning, educational technology and evidence-based social and emotional intelligence teaching strategies.


Glen Cortezano

Glen P. Cortezano is the Director, Academic Department, International English Language Teachers Association Faculty.

She is a professor at the College of Teacher Education, Laguna State Polytechnic University- Los Banos Campus. She is a Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines and is a Licensed English Language Teacher in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - United Arab Emirates TESOL Certified, International Open Academy- Ireland TEFL Certified, International Open Academy-Ireland Certified Personnel Trainer, TUV Rheinland Unit Head, Extension and Training Services - College of Teacher Education LSPU Los Banos Campus Adviser, Society of English Majors MOOC Camp Leader, US Embassy in the Philippines Team Leader, Global Trainer Academy- Philippines Member and Certified Trainer, Global Trainer Academy- International Co- Coordinator, American Language and Culture Club Member, TESOL International Association Specialization: Professional Development for Educators and English Language Teacher Participant, TESOL International Association Training of Trainers.

Racel John

Racel John Besa is a Public Senior High School teacher at Kapayapaan Integrated School, who has been teaching English, Research and Humanities and Social Sciences, and other Language related subjects for the past seven (7) years. He is presently the President of Project Love and Marketing Secretary of IELTA-Philippines and perusing his Master of Art in English as a Second Language at De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. His interests are educational technology, world Englishes, and researches focusing on students’ welfare and critical thinking and creativity. The love and passion for teaching bring his life in commUNITY to have a better world.
