About TDA

Translational Data Analysis Laboratory is located at the Sejong Campus of Korea University and was newly launched in 2016 by reorganizing the existing National Statistics Laboratory, and is currently headed by Professor Boseung Choi. Since 2016, the lab has produced a total of nine master's graduates, who are currently working in finance, healthcare, and consulting. The lab aims to conduct the empirical study of statistical modeling, leveraging public datasets from national agencies and big data from private enterprises. The focal point of our research lies in developing stochastic models for biological systems, encompassing disciplines such as public health, epidemiology, enzyme kinetics, and delays in chemical reactions. Furthermore, the lab specializes in missing data analysis to enhance data integrity and analytical precision.

고려대학교 세종캠퍼스 TDA Lab은 2016년에 기존의 국가통계 연구실을 개편하여 새롭게 시작된 연구실입니다. 2016년 이전 9명의 석사를 배출하였으며, 현재 금융, 의료, 컨설팅 분야에서 근무하고 있습니다. 국가 기관에서 생산하는 공공 데이터와 민간 기업에서 생성하는 빅데이터를 활용한 통계 모델링 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 보건 및 역학 모형, 효소 반응 속도론 모형, 화학 반응 지연(Delay in chemical reaction) 모형 등 생물학적 시스템의 확률적 모형 구축 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 통계적 모형을 이용한 결측 자료 분석 연구를 병행하고 있습니다.
