Depending on how you use TCW, we may collect:

- Learning activity, such as courses enrolled, lessons completed, quiz results, watched content, and progress.
- User-generated content, such as reels, comments, chat messages, reports, complaints, support messages, and other content you submit in the App.
- Messages or feedback you send to us, including support requests and in-app feedback.
- AI assistant messages, if you choose to use the AI assistant feature.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we may automatically collect:
- Device information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and device settings.
- Log data, such as IP address, timestamps, crash logs, diagnostic data, and technical events.
- Usage data, such as screens visited, time spent in lessons, features used, and app interactions.
- Notification-related technical information, such as push notification tokens, where applicable.
This information is used to operate the App, improve performance, fix bugs, protect security, and improve the user experience.
2.3 Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Media
The App may request access to your camera, microphone, or photo library when needed for features such as video meetings, uploading videos, selecting media, or saving content.
You can control these permissions from your device settings.
3. AI Assistant and Third-Party AI Service
The App includes an optional AI assistant feature.
This feature uses a third-party AI service provided by OpenAI.
When you choose to use the AI assistant, the App sends the text you type and recent AI chat context to OpenAI so that OpenAI can process your request and generate a response.
The data sent to OpenAI may include:
- The question or message you type into the AI assistant.
- Recent AI conversation context needed to generate a relevant response.
- Technical request information required to process the AI response.
The AI assistant is optional. Before using it, users are shown a consent notice inside the App explaining:
- What data is sent.
- That the data is sent to OpenAI.
- That the purpose is to generate an AI response.
- That users should not enter sensitive personal information.
Users must agree before any AI message is sent.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the AI assistant, including passwords, payment details, government IDs, medical information, financial information, private contact information, or other sensitive personal data.
Data sent to OpenAI is used to provide the AI response. OpenAI processes this data according to its own privacy and security practices.

4. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services to help us operate, improve, secure, and monetize the App.
These may include:
- Firebase services, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Core, for app functionality, push notifications, and technical services.
- Apple App Store services for In-App Purchase, subscription billing, purchase validation, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
- Moyasar payment services for supported non-iOS payment flows where applicable.
- OpenAI for the optional AI assistant feature.
- Video hosting or playback services, such as Vimeo or similar video providers, where educational videos are played through the App.
- Crash reporting, analytics, hosting, and technical infrastructure providers where applicable.
These third-party services may receive technical information or user data needed to provide their services. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the TCW Learning App.
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Display educational content and manage learning progress.
- Provide access to courses, lessons, library content, videos, PDFs, articles, and eligible paid content.
- Process subscriptions and payments.
- Provide the optional AI assistant feature when users consent.
- Enable chat, comments, reels, reports, and other user-generated content features.
- Moderate content, review reports, block abusive users, and protect users from objectionable content.
- Send service notifications and important app updates.

6. User-Generated Content and Moderation
The App may include user-generated content features, such as comments, chat, reels, reports, and other community interactions.
Users are not allowed to post abusive, offensive, illegal, harassing, hateful, explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content.
The App provides tools for users to:
- Report objectionable content.
- Block abusive users.
- Remove blocked users’ content from their view.
When a user reports content or blocks a user, the report or block action may be sent to our moderation system for review.
Our moderation team reviews objectionable content reports and may remove content or suspend/eject users who violate our rules.
7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
TCW Learning App offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS.
Available subscriptions may include:
- Monthly TCW Library subscription.
- Yearly TCW Library subscription.
Subscription access may include TCW Library content, videos, PDF resources, articles, and eligible paid courses.
Payment will be charged to your Apple Account after you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple Account settings:
Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
All purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for iOS subscriptions are handled by Apple according to Apple’s terms and policies.

8. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following cases:
- With service providers that help us operate the App, such as hosting, analytics, payment, notification, video, AI, support, and security providers.
- With OpenAI when you choose to use the optional AI assistant and agree to the AI data consent notice.
- With Apple for In-App Purchase, subscription, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund processing.
- With payment providers for supported payment flows outside iOS where applicable.
- With moderation and support systems to review reports, block abusive users, and protect users.
- With authorities if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

All service providers are expected to handle data securely and only for the purposes required to provide their services.
