Part B: Immersion in Ren Wen Classroom Practice
To immerse participants in the lived experience of Ren Wen classrooms and observe how Tzu Chi philosophy translates into daily teaching practice.
Part C: IB Education and Tzu Chi Education Philosophy Alignment
To deepen participants’ understanding of the educational philosophy of the International Baccalaureate and examine its alignment with Tzu Chi’s humanistic education philosophy, so they can intentionally integrate academic rigor, inquiry, and international-mindedness with compassion, moral cultivation, and character formation in their classroom practice.
By the end of Module 1, participants will be able to:
Explain the history and Four Great Missions of Tzu Chi.
Articulate the principles of Tzu Chi humanistic (Ren Wen) education.
Describe the core philosophy of IB education.
Analyze the alignment between IB and Tzu Chi educational philosophies.
Identify observable indicators of humanistic education in classroom practice.
Reflect on their emerging identity as a Tzu Chi IB educator.
