Our observational reaches have been expanded, including the cosmic microwave background in various frequencies at high multipoles, luminous and radio galaxies away from us by large distances, energetic astrophysical sources such as pulsars, and gravitational waves. These observational datasets have enabled us to investigate the non-linear nature of cosmological perturbations, in which the nature of elusive early universe physics as well as the properties of gravity reside.
Thus, to study properly the physics of the early universe and properties of gravity, we need 1) to formulate and constrain the statistical properties of the primordial perturbations from higher-order correlation functions, 2) to make use of the large-scale galaxy survey data under proper handling of systematics, and 3) to develop advanced analytic and numerical techniques to deal with non-linearities in future data sets.
The aim of this international molecule workshop is, facing the observational progress, to promote stimulating and intensive discussions among the experts on the theoretical perspectives on non-linearities and to initiate possible collaborations.
