If you want a dedicated, high-speed wall charger specifically optimized for your Beats earbuds and headphones while traveling, choose TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block; if you need a portable dongle to listen to music through standard wired headphones while simultaneously fast charging your smartphone, choose AVMAX USB C. This distinction is critical because these two devices solve fundamentally different problems, even though they both utilize USB-C connectivity. For side sleepers looking for the best sports earbuds or lightweight headphones, the power source matters just as much as the audio hardware itself. You need a reliable foundation that won't fail during a workout or a commute.
• TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block: Delivers a stable 20W output designed for rapid recharging of Beats audio gear and other USB-C devices with a compact, pocket-friendly form factor. Its biggest trade-off is that it requires you to provide your own specific charging cable depending on your device's port (Lightning, Micro-USB, or USB-C) and offers no audio functionality whatsoever. This pick is for the owner of Beats products who needs a reliable replacement brick for home or travel.
• AVMAX USB C: Combines audio playback via a 3.5mm jack with 60W Power Delivery charging in a single, braided adapter, featuring a high-resolution DAC chip for clear sound. Its biggest trade-off is that it is a dongle meant for active use, not a stationary wall unit, and it does not support data transfer, limiting its utility to audio and power only. This pick is for users with modern smartphones lacking headphone jacks who refuse to switch to wireless or buy separate adapters.
The TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block is engineered with a singular focus: efficient power delivery for the entire ecosystem of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and earbuds. If you own the Beats Studio Pro, PowerBeats Fit Pro, Solo 4, or even the older Powerbeats 3, this brick provides a stable 20W output that is optimized to match the charging requirements of these specific devices. The internal architecture includes intelligent protection chips that automatically detect connected devices like the Beats X or Powerbeats Pro 2. This feature prevents overcurrent and overvoltage scenarios, ensuring that the battery life of your expensive audio equipment remains intact during long-term use. Unlike generic cubes, this design prioritizes safety and efficiency for high-drain audio hardware.
For travelers and commuters, the physical design of this block is a significant advantage. It features a compact cube form factor that fits easily into a shirt pocket or a small bag without adding bulk. The US plug style is standard for North American outlets, making it a hassle-free replacement for the original charger that often gets lost or damaged. While the product description notes that you must supply your own cable, the versatility of the USB-C output means it can also charge smartphones, tablets, and speakers beyond just the Beats lineup. One USB-C power block meets the needs of multiple devices, reducing the clutter of carrying three or four different chargers when you are on a business trip.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you do not own any Beats-branded headphones or lack a compatible USB-C powered device, this brick becomes a specialized tool with limited appeal. Furthermore, the requirement to source your own cables adds a step to the setup process. Depending on whether your device uses a Lightning connector, a Micro-USB port, or a native USB-C port, you will need to ensure you have the correct Type-C to Type-C, Type-C to Lightning, or Type-C to Micro-USB cable ready. If you prefer a plug-and-play solution where everything is included in the box, you might find this omission inconvenient. Ultimately, this is a dedicated power solution for those who value stability and speed for their audio gear above all else.

The AVMAX USB C adapter serves a completely different purpose: it bridges the gap between modern mobile devices and legacy audio standards while keeping your battery topped up. This 2-in-1 dongle allows you to listen to music, make calls, play games, or watch videos through standard 3.5mm headphones while simultaneously fast charging your phone. The inclusion of a PD 3.0 60W charging capability is a standout feature, supporting PD, QC, AFC, and PPS fast charging standards. This ensures that even while drawing power for the audio circuitry, your device receives a stable and safe charge, intelligently identifying the voltage and current required by phones like the iPhone 17 series or Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Audio quality is another primary driver for choosing this adapter. It is built with an advanced smart DAC chip capable of supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz high-resolution audio. For audiophiles or casual listeners who prefer the reliability of wired connections, this translates to effective noise reduction and high-fidelity transmission. You get clear, gentle sound without the current noise or distortion that sometimes plagues cheaper adapters. This makes it an excellent choice for those seeking the best on-ear headphones or lightweight headphones for side sleepers who cannot tolerate the pressure of bulky wireless buds but still need to charge their devices overnight or during a long flight.
Compatibility is extensive, covering a wide range of Android and iOS devices, including the latest iPhone 17 models, various Samsung Galaxy S-series phones, iPad Pros, and Google Pixel devices. The build quality appears robust, featuring a braided cable and aluminum construction designed to withstand daily wear and tear. However, this device has clear limitations. It does not support data transfer, meaning you cannot use it to sync files or connect to external storage drives. It is strictly an audio and power bridge. Additionally, because it is an inline adapter, it adds a slight length to your headphone cable, which some users might find less convenient than a fully wireless setup. It is ideal for users who want to keep using their favorite wired headphones with new phones but require the convenience of simultaneous charging.
• Best for dedicated Beats charging → TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block: The 20W output is specifically tuned for the charging curves of Beats earbuds and headphones, offering a safer and more stable experience for these specific devices than a generic multi-port hub.
• Best for listening while charging → AVMAX USB C: This is the only option that allows you to use standard 3.5mm wired headphones and charge your phone at the same time, a necessity for long commutes or flights.
• Best for side sleepers → AVMAX USB C: For those using the best sports earbuds for side sleepers or lightweight headphones, the ability to charge while listening eliminates the anxiety of a dying battery during a nap or rest period.
• Best for travel simplicity → TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block: The compact cube design is easier to pack than a dongle with a dangling cable, and it can serve as a universal wall charger for multiple devices once you have the right cables.
• Best for audio fidelity → AVMAX USB C: The built-in 32-bit/384kHz DAC chip provides a level of high-resolution audio decoding that a simple wall charger simply cannot offer.
• Best for durability → AVMAX USB C: The braided cable and aluminum housing suggest a rugged design intended for constant plugging and unplugging, whereas the TBQBCYO is a solid-state block with fewer moving parts.
• Best for budget-conscious buyers → AVMAX USB C: By combining two functions (audio and charging) into one unit, it potentially saves money compared to buying a separate high-quality DAC and a fast charger.
• Best for peace of mind → TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block: The built-in overcurrent and overvoltage protection is explicitly highlighted for preventing battery damage in sensitive audio equipment over long periods.
I would choose the AVMAX USB C for my daily carry because the ability to listen to music through my preferred wired headphones while simultaneously charging my phone is indispensable. In my opinion, the combination of a high-resolution DAC and 60W Power Delivery makes it the superior choice for anyone who refuses to abandon wired audio in favor of Bluetooth. The TBQBCYO USBC Charger Block is a fantastic tool for a bedside table or a desk drawer, especially for Beats owners who want a dedicated, safe charging station. However, for the active user who values versatility and wants the best sports earbuds for side sleepers paired with a reliable power source, the AVMAX adapter is the clear winner. It solves the immediate problem of losing the headphone jack on modern phones without sacrificing performance or battery life.
