For this design project, I followed a structured process to create new logos and package design layout for Native Botanicals. Firstly, I carefully researched and selected a packaged product from a different category and with a distinct target audience compared to a previous project. This decision was driven by the goal of diversifying my design portfolio and expanding my creative skills.
Using Procreate, I began by sketching various logo concepts that encapsulated the essence and values of the brand. Each design iteration was refined through feedback and multiple revisions to ensure alignment with the brand's identity and appeal to the target market. Simultaneously, I worked on creating visually engaging designs for Native Botanicals, integrating elements that reflect the brand's commitment to natural products and sustainability.
Throughout the process, I leveraged my design expertise to strike a balance between creativity, functionality, and market relevance. The final logos for the brand and designs for Native Botanicals not only met the project requirements but also showcased my ability to adapt and excel in diverse design contexts.
Foiling Technique
Foiling is a specialized technique used in graphic design and printing to add metallic or glossy accents to paper-based materials. The process involves applying a thin layer of metallic or holographic foil onto the surface of the paper using heat and pressure. Typically, a design or pattern is first created using adhesive, which adheres to the paper. Then, the foil is placed over the adhesive area and pressed using a heated die or roller. The heat activates the adhesive, causing the foil to stick to the desired areas, creating a shiny, metallic effect. Foiling can be used to enhance text, graphics, or patterns, adding a luxurious and eye-catching element to printed materials such as invitations, packaging, and promotional materials.
