The Snoqualmie Tribe applied for and was awarded grant funding under a Federal ARPA program to secure an emergency aid vehicle that will be housed on the Snoqualmie Tribe Reservation and operated in partnership with Eastside Fire & Rescue for Emergency aid calls at the Casino and future hotel site as well as in the larger Snoqualmie Valley Community.
As part of the agreement in securing the funding for the vehicle, the Snoqualmie Tribe was tasked with proposing the final aid vehicle design. The Snoqualmie tribe asked tribal member artists to help with creating the final design.
My design was the one chosen to appear on the Emergency Aid Vehicle. The Snoqualmie Tribal Committee made the final decision on April 27th, 2023. The design features a tribal moon created by Rhonda Spencer who is another Snoqualmie tribal member. The other elements and final layout were designed by me. There were symbolic meanings behind the elements chosen for the final design and outlined in the final design proposal created for the Snoqualmie tribe. I have attached a PDF file of symbolic meanings for each of the design elements below.
