Postdoctoral Research Associate
Center for Aerosol Science and Engineering,
Department of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering,
Washington University in St. Louis
Hello! I study aerosol optical and radiative properties through experiments and theoretical models. I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Rajan Chakrabarty's lab at the Center for Aerosol Science and Engineering in the Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering Department at Washington University in St. Louis.
I completed my PhD from the Interdisciplinary Program in Climate Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay under the supervision of Prof. Harish Phuleria (ESED, IITB), Prof. Chandra Venkataraman (ChE, IITB), and Prof. Rajan Chakrabarty (ECEE, WashU). My work focused on aerosol emissions from burning agricultural residue biomass and their optical properties as a part of the NCAP-COALESCE project.
Before joining IIT Bombay, I was a project assistant at the Center of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (CAOS), Indian Institute of Science, where I worked with Prof. S. K. Satheesh and Prof. J Srinivasan. During this period, I was introduced to the various facets of atmospheric science, which immensely piqued my interest in the subject.
