WormWatcher robotic systems

Autonomously monitor the activity of worms in up to 120 multiwell plates for hours, days, or months.

  • Plates are arranged on a large tray and never directly handled by the robot, reducing exposure to unwanted stimuli

  • Several footprint sizes are available offering variable capacity

  • An optional blue LED illumination system helps determine whether worms are responsive to stimuli

  • The illumination and imaging system travels to each plate in series to record the collective activity of the worms in each well

  • Activity can be analyzed live and is exported to standard spreadsheet formats. Collective activity curves can be used to estimate the mean lifespan and healthspan of each population

  • A user-friendly interface makes it easy to organize and customize experiments
