TasteFeed ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our TasteFeed mobile application and related services.
Information We Collect
• Account Information: Email address, name, username, and profile photo provided during account creation and authentication.
• User Content: Photos, videos, dish titles, descriptions, recipes, ratings, and comments you choose to share on the platform.
• Location Data: Precise or approximate location data collected only while the app is actively in use to recommend nearby restaurants and dishes.
• Usage & Technical Data: App interaction metrics, feature usage, crash logs, and device operating system details.
How We Use Your Information
• Provide, maintain, and personalize your feed and restaurant discovery experience.
• Find and display food and restaurants near your current location.
• Communicate important account updates, security alerts, and support responses.
• Ensure platform security, enforce our terms, and prevent fraud or abuse.
Location Data Notice
We access your device location only when you grant permission and only while the app is open in the foreground. Location data is strictly used to recommend nearby restaurants and dishes. We do not track your location in the background and do not sell or rent location data to third parties.
Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our application:
• Google Firebase: For secure user authentication, database management, and push notifications.
• Google Maps API: For geolocation rendering and distance calculations.
These third parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Account & Data Deletion Rights
You have the right to access, export, or delete your personal information at any time.
• In-App Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and associated data directly within the app by navigating to Settings -> Account -> Delete Account.
• Email Request: You can also request complete deletion of your account and personal data by emailing us at support@tastefeed.app.
Upon receiving a deletion request, your personal profile, credentials, and uploaded content will be permanently purged from our active systems.
Children's Privacy
TasteFeed is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
