Openings

I am looking to recruit several Ph.D. students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. The positions will have full tuition and stipend support. These fully funded positions are expected to be filled as early as Fall 2024, Spring 2025, or Fall 2025. The candidates are expected to conduct research in the following broadly defined areas.

Security and Reliability
Functional Safety of Automotive Vehicles
Machine Learning Application for Security
Heterogeneous Integration and Packaging
Electronic Design Automation for Security Application
Radiation Impact Analysis
and Quantum Computing

Requirements

Ideal candidates should have strong technical preparation and an interest in interdisciplinary research. Anyone who enjoys research and problem-solving can be successful in the target research domains. However, the following experience/skills are preferred.

B.S. or M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/ Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proficiency in programming language (e.g., Python, Verilog.)
Experience with EDA tools.

*Involvement in extra-curricular activities (e.g., debate, art & design, public speaking, writing, or voluntary fieldwork) is a plus. Underrepresented students are encouraged to apply.
