This Privacy Policy applies to the Tario AI application ("the App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play and accessible from iOS and Android mobile devices.
Tario AI Team ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Tario AI application and acts as the Data Controller for personal data processed through the App where applicable under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and other applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA/CPRA").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we process and use it, how long we retain it, and the choices and rights available to you when you use Tario AI.
To provide the AI photo enhancement features, Tario AI may process:
Photos you select from your device — sent to our AI service to generate the enhanced photo you request.
Enhancement parameters — such as resolution, enhancement level, sharpness, aspect ratio, or other settings selected by you.
Photos are processed solely for the purpose of providing the requested AI enhancement service.
Enhanced photos and related local application data may be stored locally on your device.
Tario AI does not intentionally collect, store, or use facial recognition data or biometric identifiers.
The App does not use facial recognition technology to identify individuals.
You may select photos from your device for processing. If a selected photo contains a person's face, the image may be transmitted to our AI processing service solely to provide the enhancement feature you requested.
We do not use uploaded photos to identify individuals, create biometric profiles, or perform facial recognition.
Uploaded photos are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
When you use the App, certain technical and usage information may be processed automatically or transmitted to service providers, including:
Device information — such as device type, operating system and version, app version, language, and time zone.
App usage events — such as feature interactions, enhancement attempts, successful or failed requests, and error events.
IP address — which may be processed for network communication, security, abuse prevention, and service delivery.
Crash and diagnostic information — technical information that helps us identify and fix application crashes or errors.
We use this information to operate, secure, maintain, and improve Tario AI.
To the extent applicable to your use of the App:
We do not require you to create an account.
We do not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address unless you voluntarily provide such information to us.
We do not collect financial or payment information directly. Payments for subscriptions or in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google through their respective platforms.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not use personal data for third-party targeted advertising.
We do not use Apple's IDFA for advertising purposes.
We do not intentionally create or store biometric profiles from your photos.
Tario AI may use an AI-powered processing service operated by us or on our behalf to process photos and generate enhanced images.
Depending on the feature you use, data transmitted for processing may include:
Your selected photo;
Enhancement parameters;
Resolution or image-processing settings;
Aspect ratio or other settings necessary to perform the requested operation.
This information is processed to provide the AI functionality you requested.
We do not use your uploaded photos for advertising purposes.
We may use third-party service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, or deliver the App and its services.
These providers may process limited information necessary to perform their services, such as IP addresses, request metadata, device information, crash information, or other technical data.
Third-party providers are required to process information according to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
We do not authorize third-party service providers to use your uploaded photos for their own advertising purposes.
Tario AI uses artificial intelligence to generate or enhance images.
AI-generated or AI-enhanced results may contain inaccuracies, unexpected changes, artifacts, or other unintended results.
You are responsible for reviewing and determining how you use any image generated or enhanced through the App.
You agree not to use Tario AI to upload or generate content that violates applicable law or our Terms of Use, including illegal, sexually explicit content involving minors, violent, hateful, harassing, or otherwise prohibited content.
If the App provides a reporting feature, you may use the Report function to report content that violates our Terms of Use or applicable law.
Tario AI may store certain information locally on your iOS or Android device, including:
Enhanced photos;
App preferences and settings;
Other information necessary for the operation of the App.
Enhanced photos stored locally can be deleted using the deletion functionality provided by the App.
Uninstalling Tario AI generally removes application data stored within the App's local sandbox, subject to the behavior of your operating system and device backup systems.
Please note that uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete information that has already been lawfully processed or retained on our servers or by third-party service providers.
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases, as applicable:
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — Performance of a contract: to provide the AI photo enhancement and other services you request.
Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, maintain, prevent abuse of, and improve the App and our services.
Article 6(1)(c) GDPR — Legal obligations: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable laws or lawful requests from authorities.
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — Consent: where we specifically request your consent and consent is required as the legal basis for a particular processing activity.
Where consent is used, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Photos uploaded for AI processing are retained only for the period necessary to process and deliver the requested result and may be automatically deleted thereafter.
Technical, crash, security, and usage information may be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary for troubleshooting, security, analytics, service improvement, or legal compliance.
Information stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it, clear the relevant application data, or uninstall the App, subject to your device's backup and operating-system behavior.
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights including:
The right to access personal data we hold about you;
The right to request correction of inaccurate information;
The right to request deletion of personal data;
The right to object to or restrict certain processing;
The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

Because Tario AI may not require an account, we may need additional information from you to verify your identity and locate the information associated with your request.
You may exercise applicable rights by contacting us using the contact information provided in the App or on the official Tario AI website.
Deleting the App removes applicable locally stored application data but does not automatically constitute a request to delete server-side information.
Tario AI is not directed to children under the minimum age required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by applicable law.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where we are legally required to delete it, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Tario AI.
Data transmitted between the App and our services may be protected using HTTPS/TLS or equivalent security technologies.
However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information processed through the App.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for using appropriate device-level security measures, including a passcode or biometric device lock where available.
Depending on where you are located and where our service providers operate, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Tario AI, our services, legal requirements, or our data-processing practices.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Tario AI may offer optional in-app purchases, subscriptions, or free trials.
If you purchase a subscription or other digital content:
Purchases made through iOS are processed by Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's applicable terms and policies.
Purchases made through Android are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
We do not directly receive or store your full payment card information through the App.
Subscription prices, billing periods, trial periods, and renewal terms are displayed to you before purchase.
Auto-renewing subscriptions generally renew automatically unless cancelled through the applicable Apple or Google account settings before the renewal date.
Cancellation and subscription management are handled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, as applicable.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted by the applicable platform's rules.
