About Me
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Systems at the University of the Peloponnese, Greece. I hold a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras (2012), an M.Sc. from the National Technical University of Athens (2014), an M.B.A. from the University of Patras (2016), and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Patras (2019), specializing in Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. My research interests lie in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Electromechanical Systems.
I have served as a postdoctoral researcher in major European and national research projects, and was awarded a scholarship by the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) to conduct postdoctoral research at the University of Patras. I have extensive academic teaching experience, having independently taught both undergraduate and graduate courses, and have supervised more than 20 Diploma Theses.
I have published over 55 scientific articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences (including numerous monographs), and have authored 2 University Textbooks. I am a regular member of the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN), the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), and the Cybersecurity, Hardware, Artificial Intelligence, and Networks Laboratory (CHAIN Lab) of the Department of Digital Systems at the University of the Peloponnese.
When I am not working, I study Philosophy — mainly, Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Science. I also like to play the guitar and try to compose music; the results of my attempts are summarized in a self-recorded and self-produced album with my amateur band.
