Come see the Man

Mid day I walked, in the scorching sun

To avoid the judging gaze, of everyone

Hopeless and void, of love and belonging

I came face to face with the King of Kings

Come, see a Man who told me all things that I’ve ever done. Could this be the Christ?

Come see the one who offers living water and everlasting life

He wishes to unite

Went to the well fleeing from my sin

But he saw the shame and pain that I was in

My humiliated heart longed for His grace

He pulled me from my death into His warm embrace

And yet offers me life

He said Worship in spirit is the way

The Father only wishes for His child to stay

His words like gold I’m not worthy to receive

But He sought this rejected woman that she might believe
