Student voice, agency and leadership

At Taradale Primary School, we see students as active contributors to their learning. We know our students well and work with them to shape learning that is engaging, relevant and meaningful.

We build strong foundations in Literacy and Numeracy through inclusive, evidence-informed teaching. Alongside this, we connect learning to rich inquiry topics, with hands-on experiences that build knowledge and support curiosity, creativity and engagement.

Students have real opportunities to contribute to the life of the school. Through student-driven projects, leadership roles and everyday classroom experiences, they take ownership, develop confidence and build a strong sense of pride in their school.

We value student voice and create opportunities for students to make decisions, explore their interests and see the impact of their work. Whether it’s through inquiry learning, caring for our environment, or contributing to school projects, students are encouraged to take an active role and feel a genuine sense of belonging and responsibility.
