Your privacy is our priority. TapScan QR Code is designed to be a "Privacy-First" application. This policy explains how we handle your data.
TapScan QR Code does NOT collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to external servers.
Offline Processing: All QR code scanning, image extraction, and generation happen locally on your device. We do not use any cloud-based processing services.
No User Accounts: The app does not require you to create an account or provide any personal identification information (PII) such as your name, email, or phone number.
To provide its core features, the app requires the following permissions:
Camera Access: Used solely to scan physical QR codes. Images from the camera are processed in real-time and are never saved or uploaded.
Photo Library Access: Used only when you explicitly choose to "Extract from Image" or "Save to Photos". We only access the specific images you select.
FaceID / Biometrics: Used to securely lock your local scan history. We do not have access to your biometric data; the authentication is handled entirely by the iOS system.
Local History: Your scanning and generation history is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage (SwiftData).
Deletions: You have full control over your history. You can delete individual items or clear your entire history at any time. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
The app does not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks. We do not share your data with any third parties because we do not collect it in the first place.
Our app is safe for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, we are fully compliant with privacy regulations regarding children.
