This Privacy Policy explains how Tapin ("Tapin", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Tapin mobile app.
Tapin is a work-hours and payday tracking app. It helps users log hours, track earnings, manage reminders, view forecasts, use widgets, export reports, and optionally unlock Tapin Plus features.
We collect only the information needed to operate and improve Tapin.
Depending on how you use Tapin, the app may store information such as:
your display name
preferred language and currency
jobs, pay rates, and recurring shift templates
work log entries, hours, notes, and earnings-related information
payday, payroll, and tax reserve settings
reminder, notification, theme, and widget preferences
Tapin Plus and free-trial status stored by the app
Most of this information is stored locally on your device.
Tapin may access or store limited device-related information such as:
notification permission status
battery optimization status relevant to reminder reliability
app version, device/platform information, and similar technical context through analytics and billing SDKs
If analytics is enabled, Tapin uses Firebase to collect app usage data such as:
screen views
feature usage
paywall, purchase, restore, and reminder-related events
general interaction and performance information
Analytics is presented during onboarding with a clear explanation of its purpose. You can choose to keep it enabled or disable it at any time in Settings.
If you purchase or restore Tapin Plus, purchase-related information is processed through:
Google Play
RevenueCat
This may include product identifiers, entitlement status, transaction status, and purchase history necessary to unlock and restore premium access.
If you choose to export your data, Tapin may generate CSV or PDF files on your device and share them using your device's sharing tools. Once you share exported files with another app, service, or person, their privacy practices apply to that copy.
Tapin does not intentionally collect or request:
precise location
contacts or address book data
photos, videos, or media library access
microphone or camera access
accessibility service access
personal content from other apps
Tapin does not require account creation to use its core features.
Depending on your region, we process information based on:
your consent (for analytics and optional features)
the necessity to provide the core functionality of the app
legitimate interests such as improving app performance and reliability, where permitted by law
We use information to:
provide Tapin's core functionality
save and display your jobs, time logs, earnings, reminders, and forecasts
send reminders and notifications you enable
render the Android home widget
generate CSV and PDF exports you request
activate, restore, and manage Tapin Plus access
understand feature usage, fix bugs, and improve the app
respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited information with service providers only as needed to operate the app:
Google Play: purchase processing and restoration
RevenueCat: purchase validation and entitlement management
Firebase: analytics and usage measurement
These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Most Tapin data is stored locally on your device. This means:
you control most in-app data directly
deleting the app or clearing storage may remove your data
we do not have access to data stored only on your device and cannot modify or delete it remotely
Some analytics, purchase, and entitlement data may be processed or retained by third-party providers according to their own policies and legal obligations.

We use commercially reasonable measures and platform-provided protections to reduce risk when handling data.
However:
no system is completely secure
security also depends on your device settings and how you manage access to your device
Tapin is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.
Third-party providers used by Tapin may process data on servers located outside your country.
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
the right to access information about your data
the right to request deletion of data we control
the right to object to or restrict certain processing
the right to withdraw consent (for example, by disabling analytics)
Because most data is stored locally, many of these controls are available directly through the app or your device settings.
You can:
control notification permissions in device settings
enable or disable analytics in Tapin Settings
manage purchases through Google Play
delete local data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app

We may update this Privacy Policy. Continued use of Tapin means you accept the updated version.

We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
Tapin is provided “as is” without warranties.
We are not liable for:
lost profits
lost data
financial decisions based on the app
You may stop using Tapin anytime. We may limit access if required.
