Announcement
Dr. Niladri Banerjee, our distinguished alumnus from Imperial College London, will deliver a talk on "From Steels to Qubits – How Materials Research Evolved and Where Does It Lead To?" 🗓 Date: 12th September 🕔 Time: 5:00 PM (IST)
My research philosophy is rooted in the belief that innovation gains true meaning only when it creates societal impact. I see engineering research as valuable when it delivers solutions that serve people and the planet. To realize this vision, I embrace an interdisciplinary approach, drawing from materials science, engineering, medicine, and environmental studies.
I incubated Cenogen Materials Pvt. Ltd., a start-up at IIT Kanpur, supported by the Government of India’s Technopreneur Promotion Programme, as part of my commitment to translating materials research into practical solutions. This journey strengthened my conviction that research must move beyond discovery to product development that delivers tangible value to society.
