1. Introduction Welcome to TapWater ("we," "our," or "the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
2. Data Collection (No Personal Data) We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII).
No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use TapWater.
Local Storage: All your hydration data (daily water count and goals) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your phone and is not sent to our servers.
3. Permissions and Usage
Notifications: TapWater uses the expo-notifications library to send you hydration reminders. These are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use these notifications for marketing or tracking.
Haptics: The app uses your device's vibration motor to provide tactile feedback when you log water intake.
4. Third-Party Services TapWater does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking cookies. We do not sell or trade your information to outside parties because we do not collect it.
5. Data Retention and Deletion Your data remains on your device as long as the app is installed. If you wish to delete all data, you can:
Use the "Reset" button within the App settings.
Clear the App's cache/data in your Android System Settings.
Uninstall the App.
6. Children’s Privacy Our App is safe for all ages and does not collect any information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
