Tap Screen: Touch Lock
Tap Screen: Touch Lock
Effective date: September 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tap Screen: Touch Lock ("Tap Screen", "the app") handles information and device permissions.
Application: Tap Screen: Touch Lock
Package name: com.krepelstudio.tapscreen
Developer: Krepel Studio

Tap Screen is an Android utility that temporarily blocks touch input on the screen while allowing the content underneath to remain visible and active.
The app is designed to work locally on the user's device. Krepel Studio does not operate a server for Tap Screen and does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information through the app.
Tap Screen does not collect personal information such as:
name;
email address;
phone number;
contacts;
precise or approximate location;
photos or videos;
audio recordings;
messages;
browsing history;
files or documents;
device identifiers for advertising;
advertising data.
The app does not contain advertising and does not use AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), or advertising SDKs.
Tap Screen stores a limited amount of application data locally on the user's device as required for its functionality.
This may include:
selected app language;
selected theme;
onboarding completion status;
Touch Lock settings;
the number of free Touch Lock sessions used or remaining;
locally cached Pro entitlement or purchase status required for app functionality.
This information remains within the app's local storage and is not transmitted to Krepel Studio servers.
Users can remove locally stored app data by clearing the app's storage through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Tap Screen does not require access to the user's photos, videos, audio files, documents, downloads, or other personal files.
The app does not scan, upload, modify, transmit, or process files stored on the device.
Tap Screen uses only permissions and system capabilities required for its core functionality.
Tap Screen uses Android's Display over other apps special access (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) to display a transparent touch-blocking overlay above other applications.
This overlay is used only when the user activates Touch Lock.
The overlay intercepts touch input so accidental taps and gestures do not reach the application underneath.
Tap Screen does not use this permission to read, record, capture, analyze, or transmit the contents displayed by other applications.
The user must explicitly grant this access through Android system settings and may revoke it at any time.
Tap Screen uses a foreground service while an active Touch Lock session is running.
The foreground service is required to maintain the user-initiated touch-locking operation reliably while another application is visible.
The app may use Android permissions including:
FOREGROUND_SERVICE;
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE.
The foreground service is started only for the Touch Lock functionality and is stopped when Touch Lock is disabled.
Tap Screen does not use a permanent background service when Touch Lock is inactive.
Tap Screen may request the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission on supported Android versions.
Notifications are used to display information about an active Touch Lock session and may provide a safety action such as Unlock or Stop.
Notifications are not used for advertising, profiling, marketing, or data collection.
The user may control notification permission through Android settings.
Tap Screen provides an Android Quick Settings Tile that allows the user to activate or deactivate Touch Lock from the system Quick Settings panel.
The Quick Settings Tile does not access or collect personal information.
Tap Screen does not use Android AccessibilityService.
The app does not request:
Accessibility access;
Usage Access;
Notification Access;
contact access;
location access;
microphone access;
camera access.
Tap Screen does not monitor which applications the user is using and does not inspect the accessibility hierarchy or content of other applications.
Tap Screen uses Google Play Billing to offer a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase.
Purchases are processed by Google Play.
Krepel Studio does not directly collect or process payment card information, bank information, or other payment credentials.
The app may receive purchase and entitlement information from Google Play that is necessary to:
determine whether Pro has been purchased;
unlock Pro functionality;
restore an eligible purchase.
Payment processing and Google account information are handled by Google according to Google's own privacy policies and terms.
Tap Screen does not use its own payment server or external payment processor.
Tap Screen does not display advertisements.
The app does not integrate:
Google AdMob;
Google UMP;
advertising networks;
advertising identifiers;
personalized advertising systems.
The only external service used for the commercial functionality described in this policy is:
Google Play Billing, used to process and restore the Lifetime Pro purchase.
Google Play and Android system services may process information independently under Google's own terms and privacy policies.
Tap Screen does not transmit personal user information to Krepel Studio or to independent analytics or advertising services.
Krepel Studio does not sell personal information.
Tap Screen does not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
Because the app does not collect personal user information on Krepel Studio servers, there is no developer-operated personal user database associated with Tap Screen.
Tap Screen is designed to minimize data collection.
Application settings and state are stored locally using Android application storage mechanisms.
The app does not upload its locally stored preferences or Touch Lock usage state to Krepel Studio servers.
Payment processing is handled by Google Play rather than by the app itself.
Users remain in control of permissions and locally stored information.
Users can:
enable or revoke Display over other apps access through Android settings;
enable or disable notification permission where supported;
remove the Quick Settings Tile;
stop an active Touch Lock session;
clear locally stored app data;
uninstall the application;
manage Google Play purchases through their Google Play account.
Because Krepel Studio does not maintain a server-side account or personal information database for Tap Screen, there is normally no personal data stored by Krepel Studio to access, export, correct, or delete.
For privacy-related questions, users may contact Krepel Studio at the email address below.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the functionality of Tap Screen, Android requirements, Google Play requirements, or relevant privacy practices change.
Material changes will be reflected in the updated Privacy Policy.
The effective date at the top of this document indicates the latest version.
