My name is Tao WU. Currently, I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire d'analyse et d'architecture des systèmes (LAAS). My research interests lie in the junctions of materials science, materials engineering, and real-life applications. Currently, I mostly focus on developing energetic nanolaminate materials for ignition/gas-production based devices and designing high-energy/high-power density nanoenergetic materials via additive manufacturing for pyrotechnic applications.
In 2019, I earned my Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Maryland College Park supervised by Professor Michael R. Zachariah where I worked on the fabrication and understanding of biocidal energetic materials and also on exploring the relationship between atomic properties and energetic behavior. I earned my Master's degree in chemistry in 2014 at Tianjin University under the supervision of Professor Jian-Ping Gao where I worked on the development of three-dimensional graphene-based oil-absorbents and green polymers induced soft matter fabrication and application in catalysis and supercapacitor.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you find anything interesting here that you want to talk about.
