The Grade 12 students of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) strand organized a two-day webinar for the Grade 11 STEM students from March 8 to 9.
The invited guest speakers for the webinar were Mr. Cristian Ryan Argamino, Mr. Virgilio Ebajo Jr., Ms. Anna Karen Laserna, and Mr. Jose Esmeria Jr.. The speakers were from the De La Salle University Central Instrumentation Facility and the DOST-PCHRDa.
The speakers discussed spectroscopy’s instruments, methods, applications. The webinar also exposed the students to a deeper discussion of microscopes, spectroscopy, electromagnetic spectrum, and other topics mainly focusing on the field of chemistry. After each speaker, a question-and-answer portion was conducted to entertain the questions that the viewers had.
The webinar aims to increase and develop the knowledge and pique the curiosity of the audience about the workings of spectroscopy and spectrometry.
