SHS Talents Shine in Academic Week Final Leg

This year's academic week concluded with the Senior High School (SHS) Got Talent held on February 1, 2021 live via Zoom.
The SHS Got Talent was an event where students could showcase their talents in performing arts. The event was open to all senior high school students of PCC-Manila. A total of seven performers were able to enter into the finals of the said competition.
Students Abbygail Wills Ching of 11A-ABM and Katrina Mae Ching of 12C-STEM served as the event's hosts, with John Mathew Cabiltes of 11A-ABM as the commentator. The judges of this competition were Vice President Dr. Sining M. Kotah, English Subject Coordinator Mrs. Glenda Y. Sia, and ITC Personnel Mr. Mike Bryan P. Arcega.
The first performances were an interpretive dance by John Teng (11C-STEM), a song cover of Clairo's Sofia by Winnie Angelica Li (12A-ABM), a dance cover of Mamamoo's Dingga by Zarah Gaw (11B-ABM), and a song cover of Your Love by Eloisa Dychauco & Lovelyn Ong (11A-ABM).
Halfway through the performances were two intermission numbers with Alice Lin’s (12C-STEM) rendition of the First Movement of Mozart's Sonata in B Flat Major on piano, followed by Hiraya Marcos (12B-HUMSS), as she played the guitar and sang her version of Therapy by All Time Low. The next three performances were a dance medley by Hazel Lao & Jennylyn Wu (12B-HUMSS), a song medley by Cherry Evangelista (12A-ABM), and a dance interpretation of Bette Midler's The Rose by Jasmine Palmares (12B-ABM). Denise Kristel Chen (12C-STEM) also performed the declamation piece Five Loaves of Bread as a segue to the next part of the program.
After the performances, the audience voted for the winner of the Pulso ng Madlang PCCians Award through their Genyo accounts. Audiovisual presentations by Grade 12 students and an MTV by SHS Head Teacher Mr. Rodmar Corcuera were then shown.
The victors of the competition were as follows:
First Place - Jasmine Palmares (11B - ABM)
Second Place - John Raphael Teng (11C - STEM)
Third Place - Eloisa Dychauco & Lovelyn Ong (11A - ABM)
Puso ng Madlang Pccians Award - Hazel Lao & Jennylyn Wu (12B - HUMSS)
Throughout the event, technical difficulties were experienced and caused some delay to the program. Nevertheless, the hosts were quick to take over and entertain the audience while problems were being fixed. To sum up the program, everyone was asked to turn their cameras on and smile for a photo.
