PCC Kicked Off NST Month With Opening Program

On November 7, 2023, PCC kicked off National Science and Technology (NST) Month with an opening program introducing the activities and contests for the whole NST Month, followed by a seminar about the research procedure to make the research process more straightforward.
Mr. Kent Pranciliso emceed the opening program and introduced the many activities and contests after the video presentation by Benito Andre Yulo from 12A-STEM.
The activities and contests that were introduced were the Quiz Bee for Grades 1-6, Poster Making for ESL Class up to Grade 3, Daily Trivia after the flag ceremony by the graders, Siyensikula, or a short film dwelling on science and technology concepts, Science Innovation Infographic via ACE, the Dolomite Beach cleanup, and the main event, the SCI-TRAIL 3, which would be filled with games made by the Grade 11 students, and the concepts created by the Grade 12 students.
Subsequently, Mr. Romeo Paalisbo introduced the guest speaker for the seminar workshop, Mr. Relen-Job Tolosa, the science coordinator of PCC Annex. He talked about the procedures of the research process and the importance of every step in making the research process smoother and more manageable. He said everyone would need this since “Research never ends because there is always a tiny possibility that you could be wrong.”
Finally, Ms. Fuentes, the Science Coordinator, thanked the students for watching and Mr. Tolosa for taking time out of his schedule to talk to PCC Main students.
