Last March 18, 2022, the search for the PCC Youth Ambassador 2022 zoned in on Kimberly Chen of 10A as its next winner.
Chen bagged all other titles of the bout like the Best Video Presentation Award, Best Speaker Award, and Student's Choice Award.
The 2nd PCC Youth Ambassador press conference was held through Zoom and was hosted by Student Council Officers Clark Angelo Siao (12C-STEM) and George Marianne Kiongson (12C-STEM). In the opening speech by Student Council President Abbygail Wills Ching (12A-ABM), she warmly welcomed everyone and briefly introduced the program’s endeavor which was to find a positive role model for the PCCians who embodied good values such as integrity, optimism, hope, and determination as they embarked on the journey towards excellence.
The introduction video was judged by SHS Head Teacher Mr. Roberto Lim Jr., ITC Head Mr. Jacky Chan, and Sports Development Office Head Mr. Jounah Elegores. Following that was the press conference which was divided into two segments, and both segments were judged by SHS Head Teacher Mr. Roberto Lim Jr, Office of Student Affairs and Human Resources Head Mrs. Winsdy Joy Marcos, and Vice President Dr. Sining Marcos Kotah.
The program concluded with the closing remarks of PYA Project Head Bryle Derrick Ong (12C-STEM) wherein he shared his gratitude and thanked those who gave all their ever-endearing hard work to make the event a success. He ended his statement with these inspirational words, “The youth of today is the chance of tomorrow for change, a change for the better. The fate of the future lies in our hands, therefore, as upcoming leaders of society, let us start taking action now.”
Cheers to Kimberly Chen who concluded the program with her message. She said, “Being chosen as PYA is both an honor and an encouragement for me. From the beginning when I entered PCC, everything was new and strange to me, but now I have met many kind teachers and made many friends. It is their encouragement to me that makes me more courageous to face every challenge. I am very grateful to PCC for providing me with such an opportunity to test and improve myself.” She also said, “Thank you for your trust in me. I will live up to your expectations and strive to continue to become a better PCCian. I know that there are still a lot of people who are excellent in PCC, and I hope everyone can overcome themselves. The first step is half the battle. I hope everyone can move towards a better self!”
Again, congratulations Kimberly! You have truly shown and proven to us what a model PCCian is.
