A Page-Turning Success - " Celebrating book month at pcc "
Sun Rain (10A) | February 10, 2024
Our students dove headfirst into diverse worlds - from the magical realms of fantasy, the thrilling twists of mystery, and the poignant narratives of fiction to the fascinating, informative, and shocking non-fiction facts. The hallways buzzed with excitement as students exchanged book recommendations, their eyes shining with the shared joy of discovery.
Popular events this month included the opening of the book fair, featuring both Western-published Scholastic books and Filipino-published Lampara books. Regardless of the genre, language, and publisher, each book opened doors to new perspectives, sparking lively debates and fostering a deeper understanding of the world.
Book Month wasn't just about reading and fostering a love for literature. The Manga workshops, Back Door Lift, and cosplay parade for students and PCC personnel allowed all to express their creativity and engage with literature in a multifaceted way.
As we turn the final page of this year's Book Month, we're left with more than just the memories of the stories we've read. We've seen the power of books to inspire, teach, and connect us, which is a story worth celebrating.
Looking forward to the literary adventures that await us next year, we bid farewell to this year's Book Month, with hearts full of stories and minds brimming with ideas.
Keep reading, keep exploring, and remember - every end is just a new beginning in the world of books!
