Philippine Cultural College Manila held an exhibit entitled, “PCC@100: Glimpses of Our Journey'' in the school auditorium on July 17, 2023, to commemorate its 100th founding anniversary.
In observance of the school’s 100th anniversary, the school body dedicated an exhibit to feature artworks, achievements, projects, and research from the current students and alumni.
The event started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 17, 2023. After that, classes were scheduled to have a glimpse of the exhibit as well as the short film being played alongside an array of booths for students to explore.
First, the Kinder Department showcased their talent through the crafts and awards presented in their booth.
Next, the Chinese Department gave us a peek at the activities they created and attended through a series of photos, artworks, and awards.
Then, the FilSocMaTLE Department showed the artistry and intellect of the students through well-made projects and outputs.
Across there, the Science Department displayed different kinds of technological devices of the past generation and projects made by the students.
Beside it, the Math Department presented various kinds of Rubik’s Cubes, medals of our school’s mathematicians, and objects that they used in teaching us math concepts.
Then, the English Department showed us the past programs, outputs, and awards that they’ve done and received in the past years. In the corner, there was a dedicated place called “PCC…A Glimpse of the Past” where old class photos, newspapers, and school memorabilia were displayed.
There also was a short film presentation, which recounted the birth of the Chinese education here in the Philippines, the formation of our school’s first organization, and our school’s continued growth through adversities and changing times.
The film ended with the promise and goal of PCC to continue to be the lighthouse of the future Chinese-Filipino generations. Finally, the exhibit extended to the outside of the auditorium hallway. The exhibit displayed athletic awards and trophies the school had earned throughout the years.
This exhibit let us take a peek back to see how the school helped, nurtured, and grew with the students through the uncertainties that time and life held for them. It ran from July 17 to 20.
